The village of Eredvi is located in the Eredvi Municipality, five kilometers from Tskhinvali. During the August War, Russian bombers bombed the village several times. After the Russian 58th Army entered the territory, the village was completely emptied of the population. Since 2008, the village has been occupied by Russia and controlled by the breakaway Republic of South Ossetia.
